Good Shepherd: About Us

Established in 1965 as a non-profit nursing home, Good Shepherd is a skilled, primary care nursing facility, hosting 57 spacious private rooms and 9 double rooms. Our private rooms rate is $2.75 per day, one of the lowest in the area. Our Primary Nursing Care program is an innovative resident centered approach to Nursing that provides permanent staff assignments to assure the development of trust and positive relationships between residents, families, and caregivers. Primary Nursing Care allows increased knowledge of each residents needs in their care group, better care plan utilization, and an ensured continuity of care to all residents. An on site Child Daycare department promotes intergenerational interaction and enhances daily activities for residents at the Nursing Home. In house physical, speech, and occupational therapy services are available for residents who may need them. Transportation is provided for all residents who can travel throughout the community for business trips, shopping & sightseeing. Weekly church services are conducted by area ministers to help meet residents and families spiritual needs.
